AAPS National Biotechnology Conference Abstracts

More than 1,000 invited and contributed paper presentations are expected at this year's meeting. A complete listing of contributed papers and invited speakers' abstracts and biographies will be available in May 2008 at www.AAPSPharmaceutica.com/nationalbiotech. Abstracts will only be released online and on The AAPS Journal Supplement CD.

The AAPS Journal Supplement CD

Funded by a Grant From Genetech

Pre-order by May 3, 2008 the special CD of the AAPS Journal with all contributed papers scheduled for presentation at the 2008, National Biotechnology Conference. CDs will not be mailed in advance. Pre-ordered CDs will be available at the registration area in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. CDs will feature all scientific programming including biographies of symposia speakers, and abstracts of contributed papers. A limited number of CDs will be available for purchase on site.

About Children

Due to liquor being served at the evening reception, we prohibit youth (18 years and younger) from attending. For their safety, children are also restricted from entering the Exposition Hall and Poster Sessions at all times. Our program is geared for adult participation and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Speaker Ready Room

Speakers are required to sign in at the Speaker Ready Room at least four hours prior to their session. The audiovisual staff will confirm your advance equipment requests, answer any audiovisual questions, confirm your arrival with the appropriate session moderator, and collect an electronic version of your presentation. Moderators are required to stop by the Speaker Ready Room to confirm speaker attendance and receive any late-breaking announcements.

AAPS Central

AAPS invites you to stop by AAPS Central (booth #609) in the AAPS Exposition Hall.  You will be able to preview upcoming meetings and review the latest offerings from AAPS Press. As always, AAPS staff will be on hand to answer you questions and fulfill your requests.

Expocard

Expocard is your key to product information. As an electronic business card, Expocard is your fast and easy way to provide exhibitors with your name and address.

Recycling

Your badge holder and Expocard are recyclable. Please help AAPS run a cleaner and greener convention by recycling your badge holder and Expocard at the end of the meeting. Receptacle boxes for the badge holders and Expocards will be located in various places at the hotel.

Notice for all Attendees

Before you leave for this year's meeting, please provide your company and family with your hotel name and contact information while attending the meeting. AAPS staff is not able to forward messages to attendees.

Smoking Policy

By AAPS policy, smoking is prohibited in the meeting rooms and the exhibit hall.

What to Wear

Casual business attire is the standard dress code. In June, temperatures average in the mid 70s (Fahrenheit) during the day and low 50s (Fahrenheit) at night.
