There has been an explosion of knowledge at the basic research level. For those discoveries to be useful they must be translated into clinical practice. Translational research, which has been called the bench to bedside approach to medicine, translates the information learned at the molecular, cellular, and whole animal level into diagnostics or therapeutics that can be applied to the treatment or prevention of disease. The purpose of this poster/podium session is to highlight and recognize those posters of particular importance to the field of translational research. This is a very important topic and the poster/podium guarantees a highly interactive discussion on this topic.
Out of the submitted abstracts a total of 9 abstracts will be selected for presentation in this poster/podium session. The selected abstract authors will give a 15-20 minute presentation on their poster.
