  Nova Southeastern University Student Chapter

Chapter Information

The AAPS-Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Student Chapter was created in the summer of 2004 with the support of its founding officers and faculty advisor Xudong (Adam) Yuan, Ph.D., former AAPS Student Chapter Chair at the University of Georgia.

With support from AAPS and Cardinal Health, the chapter captured the attention of more than 30 members in its first year! Members are from both the NSU Main Campus in Davie, Florida, and the NSU West Palm Beach Campus. Expansion to the NSU Ponce, Puerto Rico Campus is also in development.

The chapter participates in campus and community outreach, places advertisements in the campus newspaper, posts materials throughout campus, and speaks with local families at the NSU Community Fest.

The chapter is open to all students dedicated to advancing the field of pharmaceutical sciences by actively pursuing the following:

  • Academic, professional, and leadership development;
  • Participation in local, regional and national AAPS activities;
  • Spreading awareness of a career in the multidisciplinary field of the pharmaceutical sciences, whether it be academia, industry or government; and,
  • Providing information about all areas of research and the latest developments in the growing field of the pharmaceutical sciences.
