RSS allows users to subscribe to websites that feature data that updates frequently. Using a standardized format, this data can be viewed and organized through RSS-aware software or automatically compiled as content on other websites. Programs known as a feed readers or feed aggregators can check a list of feeds on a user's behalf and display updated articles.
RSS readers are available for various operating systems as stand-alone programs or web browser plug-ins. Many browsers even have integrated support for RSS feeds. Users may also use web-based readers such Google Reader or Bloglines. These readers have the added benefit of not needing to install any additional software and allowing you to access your stored feeds from any web-enabled computer.
On AAPS Web pages, feeds are typically linked with an orange rectangle containing the letters or . To add a feed to your preferred reader, right click your mouse on this XML or RSS icon and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location."
