Chapter Information
Granted provisional status in 1997 and full status in 1998, the UMKC
Student Chapter aims to promote intellectually stimulating academic
interaction between graduate students and faculty. This chapter has been
actively involved in increasing student awareness of the latest advances
and discoveries in the pharmaceutical sciences and in providing
educational opportunities for students in the pharmaceutical sciences to
learn about all aspects of drug development.
Activities
2006-2007
April 21st 2006
Annual Seminar series by Dr. Bimal K.Malhotra. Director for
Global Research & Development in Clinical Sciences at Pfizer in
New York, and an adjunct professor at St. John's University On
"Pharmacoscintigraph - Beyond Biopharmaceutics, Moving Into
Pharmacological Assessment".

May 2006
Elections: Elections were conducted for AAPS student chapter and
new officers were elected for the term 2006-2007.
Every Tuesday Fall 2006 and Winter 2007
Continuing evaluation of seminar speakers for Fall 2006 and
Winter 2007 for the outstanding seminar award sponsored by
AAPS-UMKC student chapter. This is the award where seminar given
by graduate students will be evaluated by their colleagues as
well as the faculty staff. At the end of the semester an award
along with a certificate will be given by the AAPS student chapter
to the speaker who get the highest score.
