Chapter Information
The AAPS-University of the Pacific Student Chapter kicked off
in October 2004. With a roster of 39 School of Pharmacy
students and 22 Department of Chemistry students, this large
chapter is excited about the opportunities ahead of them.
They hope to spread awareness of the countless career and
research opportunities available in the pharmaceutical
sciences. A major goal of the chapter is to integrate the
multidisciplinary nature of the pharmaceutical sciences,
bridging the gap between academia and industry. The students
also hope to supplement their knowledge of the pharmaceutical
sciences by holding seminars, panel discussions, and social
and professional meetings.
Activities
Upcoming Events
We have a tentative plan as the new Executive Members have been
recently elected. We intend to invite a guest speaker in
November/December. The potential topics are:
- Entrepreneurship in the Pharmaceutical field
- Future potential of targeted drug delivery in the treatment
of cancer therapy

we have an Executive Committee meeting.

and Sullivan Medalist, University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy.
