Chapter Goals and Objectives
- To increase student participation in activities of AAPS at local, regional, and
national levels
- To recruit Students and Post-docs for AAPS and the Student Chapter
- To increase student awareness of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical science
- To provide educational opportunities for students in the pharmaceutical sciences
to learn about all aspects of drug development
- To provide students in the pharmaceutical sciences with opportunities for professional
advancement and leadership development
- To foster participation in outreach activities that further the goals and objectives
of AAPS
Specific Program Goals, Objectives, and Procedures of the
N&K University of Athens Student Chapter
- 2009: Recruitment activities: Movie night/BBQ
As our Chapter is new, our priority is to spread the news of the AAPS affiliation in
University of Athens and increase the Chapter’s roaster.
- February 2010: Event for New year: Cut New Year’s cake and get together
Co-organising the biggest event of the year with the local university’s affiliation. A
great chance to make the Chapter known to over 150 students.
- Spring/Summer 2010 – Career oriented lectures: Spread awareness of careers
in pharmaceutical industry to post graduate students.
- Thoughts applying for SPOD and inviting international speakers.
- 2 members of N&K UoA Student Chapter will participate in AAPS Annual
Meeting, LA, 2009. Efforts for more students for the PSWC 2010 in New
Orleans.
