Chapter Goals and Objectives

  • To increase student participation in activities of AAPS at local, regional, and national levels
  • To recruit Students and Post-docs for AAPS and the Student Chapter
  • To increase student awareness of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical science
  • To provide educational opportunities for students in the pharmaceutical sciences to learn about all aspects of drug development
  • To provide students in the pharmaceutical sciences with opportunities for professional advancement and leadership development
  • To foster participation in outreach activities that further the goals and objectives of AAPS

Specific Program Goals, Objectives, and Procedures of the N&K University of Athens Student Chapter

  • 2009: Recruitment activities: Movie night/BBQ
    As our Chapter is new, our priority is to spread the news of the AAPS affiliation in University of Athens and increase the Chapter’s roaster.
  • February 2010: Event for New year: Cut New Year’s cake and get together
    Co-organising the biggest event of the year with the local university’s affiliation. A great chance to make the Chapter known to over 150 students.
  • Spring/Summer 2010 – Career oriented lectures: Spread awareness of careers in pharmaceutical industry to post graduate students.
  • Thoughts applying for SPOD and inviting international speakers.
  • 2 members of N&K UoA Student Chapter will participate in AAPS Annual Meeting, LA, 2009. Efforts for more students for the PSWC 2010 in New Orleans.
