Chapter Information
The AAPS-Duquesne University Student Chapter was founded in
October 2004. The chapter exists as a forum to unite the
community of pharmaceutical scientists at Duquesne University and
will serve as a liaison between students, faculty, the
university, and AAPS. The chapters goals and objectives
include:
- Organize and execute an undergraduate outreach program at the
beginning of each fall semester to introduce new students to the
School of Pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences;
- Strive to provide career development and networking
opportunities for student members;
- Be actively involved in AAPS and seek to improve the visibility
of Duquesne University as a center of excellence in
pharmaceutical science research;
- Hold social gatherings at least once per semester; and,
- Invite a keynote speaker to address the chapter at least once
per academic year.
