Chapter Information

The AAPS-Duquesne University Student Chapter was founded in October 2004. The chapter exists as a forum to unite the community of pharmaceutical scientists at Duquesne University and will serve as a liaison between students, faculty, the university, and AAPS. The chapter’s goals and objectives include:

  • Organize and execute an undergraduate outreach program at the beginning of each fall semester to introduce new students to the School of Pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences;
  • Strive to provide career development and networking opportunities for student members;
  • Be actively involved in AAPS and seek to improve the visibility of Duquesne University as a center of excellence in pharmaceutical science research;
  • Hold social gatherings at least once per semester; and,
  • Invite a keynote speaker to address the chapter at least once per academic year.
